Holy cow, wat ben ik toch goed bezig.....elke dag een uur spinnen en dan ook nog 2,5 uur gaan lopen! Je zou denken dat de kilo's eraf vliegen, maar da valt nog es effe tegen zeg.....jaja, ik weet het....blablabla...spiermassa is zwaarder dan vet, blablabla........boeiuh! Oja, gisteren een half jaar geleden dat ik ben gestopt met roken.

 

En ook wil ik even vriendin Mina prijzen, die de afgelopen twee weken een intensieve Pilates-training heeft gevolgd (jaha, Mina wordt Pilates-goeroe!) Ze heeft ontzettend haar best gedaan en was elke ochtend op tijd bij mij om de fiets op te halen, zodat ze fietsend de binnenstad in kon gaan (scheelde elke dag enorm veel parkeergeld). Ze was erg zenuwachtig (understatement) toen ze afgelopen maandag als eerste een lesdeel moest verzorgen, maar alle zenuwen waren voor niks, want het ging allemaal heel goed (net als haar anatomietentamen dat vol overtuiging is gehaald).

 

Mina, ik vind het knap hoor! Zo'n hele nieuwe carrière opbouwen is niet niks!

 

Maar Mina's nieuwe loopbaan houdt straks natuurlijk in dat ik ook moet gaan pilatessen.....

Vrijdag begon rustig genoeg. Mama kwam even langs voor een korte cursus 'hoe gebruik ik een mobiele telefoon' (onder grote dwang is ze nu ook 'aan de mobiele'). We moesten even naar het Kruidvat voor hondenvoer, dus dat was een lekker eindje wandelen.

 

Daarna naar de salon van Veer gewandeld, want daar had ik met Trudy afgesproken. Trudy had tot half acht vrij, want zoonlief ging eten bij een vriendje, dus van die vrijheid moesten we even gebruik maken......en dat was het begin van ons avontuur! Eerst ergens lunchen. Dat duurde lang, want overal hebben de dames een mening over: te druk, teveel bekenden en ex-en (en ik had nul make-up op!), geen lekkere salades, etc, etc. Uiteindelijk werd het Berlage (waar het enorm stonk naar de rook, ik word een echte rookzeikerd).

 

Intussen had Trudy kenbaar gemaakt dat ze dringend nieuwe laarzen nodig had. Op weg naar het centrum kwamen we voorbij Nagtegaal-Schellekens. Daar wilde ik dus écht niet naar binnen!!! Steunzolenwinkel, enfin je kent de smoezen wel. Toch onder protest meegegaan. Inderdaad, in het eerste deel van de winkel alleen maar steunzolengoed....maar toen werden we naar een kleinere ruimte achterin geloodst......hadden we dat maar niet gedaan!! Want daar stonden ze: de mooiste laarzen die ik ooit had gezien....en nog wel van mijn favoriete kledingmerk: DKNY. Nog voor ik ze aanpaste wist ik het al: "Die zijn voor mij". Tegelijkertijd vond Trudy ook haar ideale paar, van Prada dit keer. Ook geweldige laarzen, en nog leuker nadat ze een fikse korting had bedongen. Dus stonden wij binnen no-time weer buiten met twee grote tassen.

 

En dit was het begin van onze shopping-spree....Bijenkorf, Heuvelgalerie, America Today, etc. Voor we het wisten, was het alweer etenstijd. Dit keer werd het sushi bij Soho (geen Yokohama, dat staat voor vanavond weer op het programma) en daarna de buit laten zien bij Veer in de salon. Het was een erg geslaagd dagje. Nu nog een leuke gelegenheid om mijn laarzen te showen (gezien de kleur kan ik er niet gewoon mee op stap....dit zijn echte gala-laarzen hoor!).

 

Het weekeinde: Feetje, Sinterklaas, Pieten, pannekoeken en poffertjes, frietjes en Gulliver's Reizen, teveel wodka en harde metalmuziek, Bob Sinclar wordt niet gedraaid bij Altstadt! Zondag kater en niet gesport. Mina te logeren en gezellig gegeten. Nu weer volop aan de slag.

A dozen Fox affiliates had already said they would not air the two-part sweeps month special, planned for next week before the November 30 publication of the book by ReganBooks. The publishing house is a HarperCollins imprint owned -- like the Fox network -- by News Corp. Simpson told The Associated Press in a phone interview late Monday he could not comment on the situation "until I know legally where I stand." He added, "I would like nothing better than to straighten out some things that have been mischaracterized. But I think I'm legally muzzled at this point." In the projects, Simpson speaks in hypothetical terms about how he would have committed the 1994 slayings of his ex-wife, Nicole, and her friend Goldman. Relatives of the victims have lashed out at the now scuttled publication and broadcast plans.

"He destroyed my son and took from my family Ron's future and life. And for that I'll hate him always and find him despicable," Fred Goldman told ABC last week. The industry trade publication Broadcasting & Cable editorialized against the show Monday, saying "Fox should cancel this evil sweeps stunt." One of the nation's largest bookstore chains, Borders Group Inc., said last week it would donate any profits on the book to charity. Simpson was acquitted in 1995 of murder in a case that became its own television drama. The former football star, announcer and actor was later found liable for the deaths in a lawsuit filed by the Goldman family.

Judith Regan, publisher of "If I Did It," said she considered the book to be Simpson's confession.The television special was to air on two of the final three nights of the November sweeps, when ratings are watched closely to set local advertising rates. It has been a particularly tough fall for Fox, which has seen none of its new shows catch on and is waiting for the January bows of "American Idol" and "24."

Sales for "If I Did It," had been strong, but not sensational. It cracked the top 20 of Amazon.com last weekend, but by Monday afternoon, at the time its cancellation was announced, the book had fallen to No. 51. For the publishing industry, the cancellation of "If I Did It" was an astonishing end to a story like no other.

Ik heb vrij weinig inspiratie voor mijn blogje. Ben heel hard aan het sporten en lijnen, heb een gezellige verjaardag met mijn zus gevierd en ben nu weer vollop aan het werk.

Volgende week komt Sinterklaas aan op de kade in Eindhoven, dan heb ik weer wat te vertellen.

Jammer, maar helaas. Dat is de beste manier om de voorstelling van Leòn van der Zanden te omschrijven. Veel herkenningsmomenten (Hans Teeuwen, Theo Maassen, Eric van Sauers), maar weinig origineels. Het hele stuk over zijn aan kanker stervende vriendin kwam rauw op mijn dak vallen (had ook net gehoord dat een oude bekende borstkanker heeft) en het stuk over overspel, tsja....da's recht tegen mijn zere been natuurlijk. De Dood Quiz was een overblijfsel uit de show van de Olifantendoders en hij was teveel afhankelijk van de deelname van het publiek (dat vaak niet in de gaten had dat er moest worden geklapt of geroepen). Kortom, een tegenvaller. Als het leukste uit een show een grap over kanker is, dan voorspelt het natuurlijk weinig goeds.....

 

 

Vanavond komen Veer, Fee, Mama en Mina eerst lekker bij mij eten (Chinees, lekker gemakkelijk, je kunt namelijk niet reserveren om te eten bij de Plaza, echt belachelijk, dan gaat mijn hele zin in die Plaza alweer voorbij)......en dan daarna naar een voorstelling van Leon van der Zanden! Dit is een extra voorstelling omdat de try-out een maand geleden echt in no-time was uitverkocht. Morgen een volledig verslag!

 

Neil Patrick Harris: "I'm Gay"

Dat was nou niet echt slim van me.....ik zat al ramvol met werkopdrachten, bellen ze om half tien op vrijdagavond! of ik nog meer kan verwerken. Dit is een redelijk nieuwe klant (uit de VS, vandaar het rare tijdstip), dus voor de klantenbinding wel verstandig om ja te zeggen.....en daar zit ik nu, op zondagochtend, medische protocollen te vertalen! Gelukkig barst ik van de energie en heb ik al een uur gesport en staat er een vers brood in de oven. En het is toch koopzondag, dus alleen debielen wagen zich nu in de stad (en mensen met jankende, zeurende kinderen....in buggies.....wat ben ik toch een kindervriend!)

 

Vanavond komen Ihlja en Cindy eten, dus ik heb ook op kookgebied nog genoeg te doen (voor de geïnteresseerden, we eten portobella's gevuld met truffelrisotto uit de oven, en pecorino met peer en honing vooraf)....

Het eten was heerlijk. Helaas was Ihlja 'ziek' ('t was een wilde zaterdagavond geweest), maar Cindy en ik hebben ons prima vermaakt (als we maar over seks kunnen praten he!) Haha! Ik kijk met spanning uit naar de dag waarop Cindy's huis klaar is en we daar ook gezellig kunnen eten.

When Is Sleeping with a Former Partner a Bad Idea?

Six months ago, you discovered the "love of your live" was cheating, causing you to dump the jerk like yesterday's trash. Or maybe the little heathen was using you for money, and you decided to 'break it off' after your checking account went into the negative. Perhaps you decided to kick the scoundrel to the curb because the person was abusive. You promised yourself that you wouldn't have anything to do again with the creep and removed any trace of the relationship from your home. Then one night it happens -- you are out at a bar and run into your former partner. You have a few drinks and reminisce about old times and find yourself strangely aroused. The next morning arrives and you awaken to find the loser next to you in your bed, causing you to put a pillow over your head in regret. Your ex wakes up and says, "I had a great time with you. Do you want to do it again?"

Sound familiar? If you have slept with your ex-partner, you are not alone. It's only natural to want to return to what's familiar. How often have you heard someone say, "We never really got along -- but the sex was great," or "We had nothing in common except for the bedroom."

Having sex with your ex isn't necessarily a bad thing, provided you are able to keep things into an emotional perspective. For most of us however, this is a near impossibility given our relational history with the person and the harm they caused us. How do you avoid an emotional disaster when confronted with the decision of having "sex with the ex?"

Consider asking yourself the following six questions:

1. Will having sex with this person cause emotional pain?
2. Will my EX use the sexual experience to try and resurrect the relationship?
3. Will I be repeating the same patterns of the past with this person by opening up the sexual door?
4. Will I be betraying any promises to myself by allowing this person into my life again, if even in a sexual capacity?
5. How will having sex with my ex cause me to feel afterwards?
6. Are my motives purely physical, or is there something more?
7. Will having sex with this person help me create a sense of closure or a misguided sense of connection?
8. Am I having with the person because of repressed feelings of guilt for breaking off the relationship?

If your answers to these questions have given you pause for concern, sex with your ex may not be the wisest choice. It is easy to allow a physical attraction to a person to get in the way of good judgment. So how can you mentally say "No" when your body is saying "Yes"?

Try to remember the reasons you decided to break off the relationship with your ex in the first place. Ask yourself if having sex with your EX will open up a "Pandora's Box" of emotional heartache. Keep focusing on the reasons as to why you ended the relationship in the first place and then stick to your guns. Don't be afraid to tell your ex-partner that you want to keep the relationship non-sexual. Be forewarned however, as this may cause your ex to want you even more. If they cannot accept your wishes, then avoid contact with them. By following these few simple precepts, you can protect yourself emotionally. And don't worry! In time you will meet someone new and build the relationship of your dreams!

Geweldig nieuw initiatief: elke donderdag wandelen met Trudy! Deze keer de Nordic poles maar in de auto gelaten, om de vaakgehoorde opmerkingen "ben je je skies kwijt?" en "is de sneeuw gesmolten?" te voorkomen. De paden op, de lanen in, vooruit met ferme pas richting Knegsel and beyond....  Het was geweldig weer, de zon scheen maar het was lekker fris, en de steunzolen konden het ook goed verdragen. Anderhalf uur lang waren wij actief aan het stappen. Vele calorieën raken wij op deze wijze kwijt....en dat is maar goed ook, want wij kunnen geen bezoek aan Browns aan ons voorbij laten gaan. Zo ook vandaag, een heerlijke lunch met tomatensoep en kipsandwich, afgesloten met koffie met gebak bij Trudy thuis. Volgende week weer! (Na dat heerlijke gebakje moet ik vanavond nog wel even een half uurtje spinnen hoor......maar eigenlijk ben ik te moe van ons wandelavontuur.)
